Cryptic Studios, the developers of Neverwinter, is a maker of MMORPGs headquartered in Los Gatos, California.and was founded in June 2000. It is currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perfect World, a MMORPG publisher and developer based in China. The United States-based division, Perfect World Entertainment, is the publisher of Neverwinter.
