Coins of Waukeen is a randomly reoccurring calendar event.

During the event a [Waukeen's Coin Purse] will sometimes drop from level appropriate enemies defeated. This item can be used immediately or saved to use as a sort of currency at a merchant linked to the event.

Note: A [Waukeen's Coin Purse] can drop in any zone (including Sharandar) except Gauntlgrym from any monster that is within 7 levels of your character (assuming you are level 10).

Coins of Waukeen

Waukeen, the goddess of coins and wealth, has smiled upon the adventurers of the Sword Coast.

By fighting foes of Neverwinter, thus keeping merchants and trade routes safe, you may gain a Waukeen's Coin Purse.

To participate
You must be level 10 or higher and kill monsters that are within 7 levels of you. When they die, collect the special loot which may fall from them.

Sword Coast Adventures
You can keep up with the event by playing in the Sword Coast Adventures on Gateway from your web or mobile browser.

Rewards
You can open a coin purse right away for an immediate reward or you can take several of them to the Truetrader in the Moonstone Mask. There you can exchange them for a Waukeen's Strongbox or even a Waukeen's Treasure Chest, each of which will have a better chance for a greater reward.

Nothing is guaranteed, of course, but as Waukeen tells us, 'Gold comes to the bold.'

Truetrader of Waukeen[]

During the event a stand appears near the center of Protector's Enclave with the Truetrader of Waukeen on it. Next to the Truetrader is a portal to the Moonstone Mask. This NPC only serves to describe the event.

Truetrader of Waukeen/Waukeen's Merchant

The goddess Waukeen, known as the Merchant's Friend, is sharing her blessings with the heroes of Neverwinter. By fighting foes of Neverwinter you may gain a Waukeen's Coin Purse. You must be level 10 or greater, and fighting monsters within 7 levels of you.

You can open it right away for an immediate reward or you can bring several of them to me in the Moonstone Mask where I'll exchange them for a Waukeen's Strongbox or even a Waukeen's Treasure Chest, each of which will have a better chance for a greater reward.

Waukeen's Merchant[]

Waukeen's Merchant is the store NPC for the event. He appeared prematurely in the Moonstone Mask (with most functions and dialogue non-functional) on October 02, 2013. The corrected version appeared along with the actual first release of the event. Outside of the option to bring up the event store his dialogue is the same as that of the Truetrader of Waukeen above.
