The Companion Upgrade Token is a currency that can be used to upgrade companions.

They can be purchased in the Zen Market, 75 for 500, received from many of the recent lockboxes, purchased as a reward from many events (e.g. from the Appointment Event store), purchased with tradebars, or received as a reward from dungeon end chests. They can also be purchased from Sybella Artis in Protectors Enclave for 3 [Heroes Medallion] each - rewarded for completing Weekly Legacy Campaign Quests.

A Common companion can be upgraded to Uncommon for 50,000 or 30.
An Uncommon companion can be upgraded to Rare for 250,000 or 60.
A Rare companion can be upgraded to Epic for 500,000 or 90.
An Epic companion can be upgraded to Legendary for 1,000,000 or 120.
A Legendary companion can be upgraded to Mythic for 1,500,000 or 150.
