=== Mechanics === The Illusionist's Gambit skirmish has three rounds, each round features multiple waves of random illusionary bad guys and bosses. Winning the first round will award Bronze, the second Silver, and the final round yields Gold. In the final round you meet the wizard himself, Lukan of the Mystic Veil. After the first and second rounds players vote on whether to continue to the next round or leave with the rewards earned so far. The majority vote wins. Teams only lose the challenge if nobody is in the arena any longer. In this case you are forced to leave without rewards. Underpowered teams therefore should carefully judge whether they can make it through the next phase. When players die, they are not out of the fight. They have to walk through a Portobello-like course and earn their way back into the arena. In each round the team is placed on a platform on a random map. Except for the visuals this however has no effect whatsoever. In addition to the randomized map and mobs, up to three random mechanics are activated. They show up in the quest log and you should keep an eye on the active ones. Most are negligible or just annoying but others, such as mobs randomly reflect 100% of the damage, lead to one-shots all over the place.
