Insignias[]

Insignias are a feature added in Module 9: The Maze Engine.

There are 6 different Insignia Slot shapes: Barbed, Crescent, Enlightened, Illuminated, Regal, and Universal. Any given Insignia slot can only be filled by an Insignia that matches that slot's shape. So, Enlightened slots need Enlightened Insignias, and so forth. Universal Slots can hold an Insignia of any shape.

Each of the Insignia shapes come in a variety of types, such as Aggression, Dominance, Mastery, and Skill. Type determines what stats the insignia gives bonus to. See below for a full list of types and their bonus stats.

Insignia Bonus Powers work similarly to set powers – you need to equip certain sets of items to activate a given Insignia Bonus power. However, unlike normal Item Sets, which are activated by equipping those items wherever they go on your character, Insignia Bonus powers are activated by equipping a set of Insignia on a single Mount.

Insignias have an item level of 25/50/100/200/500.

All equipped mounts can have Insignias slotted into them, but you only get the bonuses, set powers and item level of Insignias slotted into mounts in the stable.

Insignia Powder[]

From module 19 (mod 19), Insignias of any type can be converted into powder and be used to improve other Insignias.

You can save up to a maximum of 100,000 Insignia powder.

List of Insignia Types[]

Insignias come in the five shapes Barbed, Crescent, Enlightened, Illuminated and Regal. There are no Universal Insignias, only Universal Insignia slots. But every Insignia has a type as well as, and (mostly) independent from, the shape. (Not all combinations necessarily actually exist, though.) The shape only determines which slot it fits in and what Insignia Bonus Power it can result in, the type determines the stats it gives.

Every type gives a bonus to Combined Rating (20/40/80/160/400) when equipped on a mount in the stable, and to two other stats depending on the type:

There used to be two more types, Leeching and Vigor, but they have been removed. Existing ones could previously be exchanged at the Antiquities Scholar in Protector's Enclave, but that is no longer possible as far as I know.

Insignia Bonus Powers[]

Until mod 25 all mounts had exactly three Insignia slots, and now most still do. If three Insignias are slotted into those slots in a viable combination (order does not matter), and that mount is in the stable, that will activate the corresponding Insignia Bonus Power. Powers generally do not stack with themselves, so giving multiple stable mounts the same power does not increase the effect.

Assassin's Covenant Regal Enlightened Enlightened You lose 1000 of your Defense, Deflect, Critical Avoidance, and Awareness. You gain 1000 Accuracy, Critical Severity, Critical Strike, and Combat Advantage.
Barbarian's Revelry Crescent Enlightened Enlightened Whenever you perform a Critical Strike you are healed for 4% of your maximum Hit Points. Cooldown 10s.
Berserker's Rage Barbed Illuminated Illuminated While your Action Points are over 80% full, gain 2500 Critical Strike. While your Action Points are below 20% full, gain 2500 Deflection.
Cavalry's Warning Crescent Barbed Enlightened Whenever you activate a Mount Combat Power, you gain 2000 to all of your ratings for 20 seconds.
Champion's Return Illuminated Enlightened Enlightened Whenever you are reduced to 50% or your Maximum Hit Points, you instantly recover 10% of your Stamina and are healed for 10% of your Maximum Hit Points over 10 seconds.

This effect can only occur once every 30 seconds.
Combatant's Maneuver Regal Regal Illuminated Whenever you control an enemy, you gain 2,500 Combat Advantage damage for 10 seconds.
Gladiator's Guile Regal Illuminated Enlightened When your Stamina is above 75%, you move 10% faster. When your Stamina is below 25%, gain 10% Stamina Regeneration.
Knight's Rebuke Crescent Crescent Regal Whenever you receive Combat Advantage damage from an attack, you are healed for 5% of your Maximum Hit Points over 6s. Cooldown 10s
Magistrate's Patience Barbed Barbed Enlightened Whenever you receive damage from a Critical Strike, you gain 2500 Critical Avoidance and up to 4 teammates receive 2500 Defense for 5 seconds. This can trigger once every 10 seconds.
Oppressor's Reprieve Crescent Illuminated Illuminated Whenever you are Stunned, Knocked, or Rooted, you are healed for 8% of your maximum Hit Points over 6 seconds. Cooldown 10s.
Protector's Camaraderie Regal Regal Barbed Whenever your summoned Companion attacks, gain 300 Critical Severity and Defense for 10 seconds. Maximum of 5 stacks.
Shepherd's Devotion Regal Barbed Illuminated Whenever you use a Daily power, you and your teammates' Defense is increased by 1500, and their Movement Speed is increased by 10%.
Slayer's Bloodlust Crescent Crescent Enlightened Whenever you kill a target, you gain 1000 Critical Strike for 15 seconds. Maximum of 5 stacks.
Survivor's Blessing Crescent Crescent Barbed Whenever you Deflect an attack, you are healed for 5% of your Maximum Hit Points over 6s. Cooldown 10s
Traveler's Treasures Enlightened Enlightened Enlightened You have a chance after killing a foe to find Rough Astral Diamonds.
Victim's Preservation Crescent Barbed Barbed Whenever you take greater than 35% of your Maximum Hit Points in pre-mitigated damage from a single blow, you gain 2500 Defense, Critical Avoidance, Awareness, and Deflect for 5 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
Wanderer's Fortune Crescent Regal Illuminated You have a 4% chance after killing a foe to find a Refining Stone at your feet. After a few drops there is a one-day cooldown.

(unsure if thats true, the description just says "You have a chance after killing a foe to find a Refining Stone.")

Warlord's Inspiration Regal Regal Enlightened Your summoned Companion gains 8% more damage.

Since the combinations are all about the Insignia shapes and have nothing to do with the types, obviously a mount with no Universal slots only gives you one option for an Insignia Bonus Power, and the more Universal slots a mount has, the more choices that gives you. Generally, rarer mounts have more Universal slots, though for some reason Uncommon ones typically have more than Rare ones and there are many exceptions anyway.
(As a general rule, Mythic mounts have three Universal slots (two: Eclipse Lion, King of Spines, Polar Siege Bear), Legendary have two (three: Infernal War Machine), Epic one (two: Carpet of Flying, all Butterfly Swarms) (none: Hound of the Forge), Rare none (one: Broom of Twilight, Celestial Bear, Cosmic Pig, Frozen Gorgon, Frozen Winter Sled, Forest Flail Snail, Marbled Stallion, Winter Flail Snail), Uncommon one (none: Enlarged Chicken, Sabino Horse, Tribal Polar Bear, Waterdeep Horse, Zombie Chicken), and Common none.)

Mod 25 introduced four-slot mounts and with them four-slot Insignia Bonus Powers. Four-slot mounts have an universal slot that gives a bonus if you match the preferred type. This means that you can treat it as either a universal slot or use a preferred insignia to obtain an extra 20% bonus to its item level. Preferred slots are only available in four-slot mounts.
It is possible to activate three-slot Powers on four-slot mounts, but only from Insignias in the first three slots.

Enchanter's Hex Regal Barbed Enlightened Enlightened When you use an Encounter or Daily power with a control effect on a target, deal an extra 50 magnitude damage to that target. This effect does not stack.
Executioner's Covenant Crescent Regal Illuminated Enlightened You lose 1500 of your Awareness, Critical Avoidance, Defense, and Deflect. You gain 1500 Accuracy, Combat Advantage, Critical Strike, and Critical Severity.
Knight's Condemnation Crescent Crescent Regal Barbed Whenever you receive Combat Advantage damage from an attack, you are healed for 7.5% of your Maximum Hit Points over 6s. Cooldown 10s

This effect overwrites Knight's Rebuke.
Lionheart's Perserverance Regal Barbed Illuminated Enlightened Whenever you are below 30% of your Maximum Hit Points, you instantly recover 10% of your Stamina and 20% of your Maximum Hit Points.

This effect can only occur once every 30 seconds.
Master's Precision Crescent Barbed Enlightened Enlightened When your Stamina is between 25% and 75%, gain 5000 Critical Strike.
Mender's Covenant Crescent Barbed Illuminated Enlightened You lose 1500 of your Awareness, Critical Avoidance, Defense, and Deflect. You gain 1500 Critical Strike, Critical Severity, Outgoing Healing, and Power.
Protector's Covenant Regal Barbed Barbed Illuminated You lose 1500 of your Critical Severity, Critical Strike, Combat Advantage, and Power. You gain 1500 Defense, Critical Avoidance, Deflect, and Awareness.
Survivalist's Expertise Crescent Crescent Regal Illuminated You gain 5000 Forte. Negative effects from Resurrection Sickness are 25% more potent.
Tactician's Precision Regal Illuminated Illuminated Enlightened Whenever you use a Daily power, reduce the remaining cooldown on all Encounter powers by 5s. This effect can only trigger once every 15s.
Trainer's Restoration Crescent Illuminated Illuminated Enlightened You gain 3500 Incoming Healing and Outgoing Healing when your action points are full.
Warlord's Motivation Regal Regal Barbed Enlightened Your summoned companion gains 12% more damage.

This effect overwrites Warlord's Inspiration.
