Sigil of the Metallic Ancestry Dragonborn – This ornate seal bears the likeness of the great platinum dragon, Bahamut. When the sigil is obtained, players can use this item to unlock the Metallic Ancestry Dragonborn. After the item's power has been unleashed, players can select the Metallic Ancestry Dragonborn option on the race selection screen during character creation or when using a Race Reroll Token. Players do not need to have unlocked the Chromatic Dragonborn in order to make use of this sigil.

Description[]

In-game: Metallic Ancestry Dragonborn are the eponymously named descendants of the metallic dragons. Although free to choose their own path, they often embody the values of their ancestors: honor, justice and a respect for life.

Dragonborn: It's easy to assume that a dragonborn is a monster, especially if his or her scales betray achromatic heritage. Unless the dragonborn starts breathing fire and causing destruction, though, people are likely to respond with caution rather than outright fear.

Physical Qualities[]

Dragonborn resemble humanoid dragons. They're covered in scaly hide, but they don't have tails. They are tall and strongly built, often standing close to 7 feet in height and weighing 300 pounds or more. Their hands and feet are strong, talonlike claws with three fingers and a thumb on each hand. A dragonborn's head features a blunt snout, a strong brow, and distinctive frills at the cheek and ear. Behind the brow, a crest of hornlike scales of various lengths resembles thick, ropy hair. Their eyes are shades of red or gold.

A typical Metallic Ancestry Dragonborn's scales can be gold, silver, brass, copper, or bronze. Most dragonborn have very fine scales over most of their body, giving their skin a leathery texture, with regions of larger scales on the forearms, lower legs and feet, shoulders, and thighs.

Dragonborn Names[]

Dragonborn have personal names given at birth, but they put their clan names first as a mark of honor. A childhood name or nickname is often used among clutchmates as a descriptive term or a term of endearment. The name might recall an event or center on a habit.
