Prophecy of Madness

The demon Fraz Urb'luu has let loose his minions on the halls of Gauntlgrym in search of a stone giant prophecy involving the whereabouts of his lost staff. Drive back the demons and prevent them from recovering the prophecy.


Prophecy of Madness is a Skirmish introduced in Module 8: Underdark, set in the the halls of Gauntlgrym. It has 2 variations: Demonic Incursion, and Protect the Prophecy. Which variation you get is randomly chosen when you enter.

Randomly you can get dazed which turns off your encounter and daily powers. To get rid of the daze go to the rune with blue shield.

For each phase completed, the party receives a score based on how well they did. The final score is determined by the scores of each phase. You can get a Bronze, Silver, or Gold reward, with Gold giving the best rewards. If you have a [Legendary Dragon Key], [Lesser Demonic Key], or [Greater Demonic Key], you can open a bonus chest for more rewards.

Remember where we fought off the Drow? There's a powerful tablet there that the demons are seekin'. A Harper friend of mine is there now tryin' te deal with it.

While me and Drizzt go lookin' for Demogorgon, I need ye te get te Gauntlgrym and defend the tablet from demons, maybe even find out why they're goin' after it.

Ye saved part of me kingdom from demons, <name>, I'm in yer debt.

Me Harper friend found out why them stones are so important.

They were tablets made by stone giants that are supposed te give the location of some powerful artifact that a demon lord, Fraz Urb'luu, is lookin' for.

I don't know why they just didn't destroy the blasted thing. When this is all over, ye can bet that's the first thing I'll do.

But enough of that, I need yer help again. Me and Drizzt have found some more problems.
