Shears are Forgotten Leatherworking and Forgotten Tailoring Assets that can be acquired as necessary components for completion of a number of rare Forgotten Leatherworking or Forgotten Tailoring tasks and/or as optional components that will improve the chances of producing leather or cloth armor segments of greater quality (tier) for the Trickster Rogue or Control Wizard.

[Worn Shears] may be purchased for 15 from M'tari Prin'tal in Protector's Enclave (North corner of the Seven Suns Coster Market). Shears of higher tiers may be acquired from [Professions Booster Pack] and asset packs purchased in the Zen store. Shears are not bound and may be traded on the Auction House or transferred between players.

A task requiring Shears as an asset will take any tier of Shears in its slot. Higher tiered Shears serve only to improve chances of producing higher tiered armors.

At Profession Level 3, 4x [Iron Shears] can be upgraded to produce [Steel Shears].
At Profession Level 4, 4x [Steel Shears] can be upgraded to produce [Mithral Shears].
There is no task that will allow [Worn Shears] to become [Iron Shears].
